Columbus Police Department investigators have ruled the death of a toddler who was hit by a car in north Columbus Monday an accident.
Colton Hertrick, 15 months, died Monday at about 11:15 a.m. in a neighborhood off Highway 45, Coroner Greg Merchant said.
Hertrick is the son of a student pilot at Columbus Air Force Base, which was also involved in the investigation. According to the press release, a family member was moving a vehicle in the driveway and accidentally struck the child.
