A man arrested last week for a “peeping tom” incident is once again in custody for a similar incident and resisting arrest.
Starkville Police arrested 59-year-old Eddie Parks Jr. Tuesday on a felony arrest warrant voyeurism, trespassing by a “peeping tom” for a May 4 incident at 416 Highway 12 East. Parks is also facing charges of resisting arrest and possibly damaging a police vehicle, pending a damage assessment.
Parks, who also goes by the nickname “Soon,” has been arrested multiple times for voyeurism in the past, including last week.
SPD arrested Parks on May 7 for an April 24 peeping tom incident at 101 Highway 12 East, where he reportedly exposed himself.
According to an affidavit from that incident, Parks entered an enclosed brick area on Domino’s Pizza’s property to look through a window in the adjacent Sprint Mart for the “lewd, licentious and indecent purpose of spying upon the occupants thereof.”
Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office arrested him in July 2014 at a roadblock on a warrant for non-compliance as a sex offender and voyeurism from a June 2014 incident. Details of that incident were not released at the time of Parks’ arrest.
He was arrested again in November 2016 for a voyeurism incident two months earlier at the Courtyard Marriott hotel at 100 Mercantile St., and an October 2016 residential burglary in Longview.
Parks regularly travels Starkville on foot, according to SPD. The department asks anyone who believes they or their business has been a victim of a similar incident to call 662-323-4131.
