A Columbus man faces a string of charges, including two felonies, after he allegedly threw a concrete block through the back window of his ex-girlfriend's car.
Taylor Gray Jackson, 25, was arrested Jan. 3 after officers with Columbus Police Department received a call about a car that had apparently been vandalized the night before, according to a CPD press release. The victim said she had been receiving threatening phone calls from Jackson and that the night before, he had asked her to go outside and talk to him. She believed he threw the block after she refused.
The complainant had previously taken out a no trespassing order against Jackson, who continued to threaten her and her family.
This was the second time police responded to an incident at the home involving Jackson, the press release said. On Dec. 29, Jackson allegedly destroyed two televisions at the victim's home.
After police arrested Jackson last week, he was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence, simple assault by threat, trespassing, felony malicious mischief, reckless driving and felony possession of cocaine. He is currently being held without bond at Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.
