A Starkville man is in jail for reportedly breaking into a church.
According to a Starkville Police Department press release, officers responded to an alarm at New Horizons Church on Victory Lane at about 7 p.m. Monday. While investigating the matter, they arrested 20-year-old Shamar Banks on suspicion of commercial burglary.
Banks was booked into the Oktibbeha County Jail. His bond has not been set, and his initial court appearance is scheduled for this afternoon.
