Meanwhile, in East Columbus, a new phone repair and accessory store has opened.
Kenny and Robin Shepherd own and operate Smartphone Doctor LLC in Starkville. On Jan. 24, a new store was opened at 923 Alabama St. in the Lehmberg Crossing shopping center.
Smartphone Doctor’s first location opened in October 2014 to serve the smartphone needs of Mississippi State University students and Starkville residents.
“We live in the New Hope area,” Robin said. “We chose to expand to East Columbus because we felt it was overlooked by many new businesses. We’re excited to bring our services to Columbus, to help here as well as Starkville.”
The new store and original Starkville location at 500 Russell St., No. 34, both endeavor to provide customers with the phones and accessories to match both their needs and wants. In addition to selling accessories, the store also offers phone repair, diagnosis and consultation services.
Steven Honnoll is the technician for the new store.
The Columbus location is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday, and the Starkville location is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
