Yield means yield

So last night I was walking with the walk sign lit up across Fifth Street where it intersects Main Street in downtown Columbus, and someone in a vehicle just assumed they could turn right on red without any regard to a pedestrian who had the right of way. Right on red means you turn right after you stop and yield to traffic that is approaching from the opposite direction you are traveling in and any and all pedestrians who are in the crosswalk with the right of way denoted by the fully lit "Walk" sign. The driver of the car seemed very disturbed that I would dare point this out as I continued my attempt to cross the street all the while pointing clearly at the "Walk" sign. Nevertheless I continued and have lived to tell the story. Hopefully this person will read this letter and learn from it, but for some reason I don't feel that will be the case.
