Neglected streets
An open letter to Mayor Robert Smith:
Some time back City of Columbus crews did some street resurfacing, however, it certainly didn’t cover all the areas which were in dire need of attention.
The city seemed to be able to resurface streets in some residential areas but didn’t cover the roads traveled the most. I find that hard to believe. Lehmberg Road is one of which I am referring. It is highly traveled.
A very, very bad area are the streets joining the Leigh Mall. You could lose a small car in some of the holes. I realize the mall area is owned by a company or individual, but the streets going into it I would believe the city should cover. If this isn’t correct, I’d like to know, and would appreciate knowing who is responsible.
We seem to want to encourage companies to come to our area, but we don’t seem to be able to keep our roads in an acceptable manner. How can we even think about an outdoor amphitheater and enlarging the Riverwalk when we can’t keep our roads repaired?
Something is terribly wrong with this picture.
I would appreciate hearing from you promptly. And, I thank you for your kind attention.
