A different kind of movie
Mrs. Stone hit the nail on the head with her article Sept. 20. We that are of moral fiber whether Christian or not, are sick and tired of the elitist of Hollywood producing such vile and profane garbage.
I wonder if they are living the type of life they so often depict? Maybe so, but the people I am around do not. There is enough of vulgar talking and indecent behavior in public places without most of the movies showing it as a norm. Having served in the military for nearly 30 years I have been exposed to all types. I have seen changes in a lot of them when they turned their lives around. Having said all that, the public has a hunger for the uplifting messages in the films Mrs. Stone was talking about. There is enough bad things going on in the world without Hollywood glorify them. My thoughts are “keep making them and they will come”. For those out there that have not seen the mentioned movies, “War Room”, “Facing the Giants”, “Fireproof”, “Courageous”& “Flywheel” give them a try, you will not regret it.
Thank you Mrs. Stone.
