After hearing the Suzuki orchestra at The Dispatch office during Wassail Fest, I was reminded of what a terrific job Trudy Gildea has done all these years to expose youngsters to music. I have heard so many parents talk about their children’s involvement in the program and what it has done for them.
Cherry Dunn brought the Columbus Girls Choir to entertain at Rotary this past week and I was again thinking about what dedication Cherry has shown to the young girls of our area. Then, I heard Diane Ford’s Suzuki students playing at Trinity this afternoon and was again reminded of all that she has done for so many years with young violin students.
We are so fortunate to have people like them and Edwina Williams who continue to make Columbus a very special place to live and raise a family.
