COLUMBUS ó Johnnie L. Abrams, 79, died Jan. 7, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Shiloh Full Gospel M.B. Church with the Rev. Michael Reed officiating. Burial will follow at New Baptist Temple Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Saturday at Carterís Funeral Services. Carterís Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Abrams was born May 7, 1939, in Columbus, to the late Johnny Strong and Lillian Wiley. He was formerly employed with Airline Manufacturing and the House of Loreto. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Barry L. Abrams, Johnny Abrams and Tempest Abrams. He is survived by his wife, Genoria Abrams of Canton; children, Johnny Robinson and Geraldine Epps, both of Columbus, Jerome Abrams of New Albany, McArthur Abrams of Los Angeles, California and Barbara Ann Jones of Hardwood Height, Illinois; brother, Tonnie Louis Abrams of Hilldale, New Jersey; 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren Pallbearers will be Robert Abrams, Stanley Abrams, Larry Council, Tracy Topps, Robert Sanders and Michael Lane.
