MONROE COUNTY — Woodie T. Taylor, 81, died Dec. 5, 2018, at Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at West Chapel Church of Christ with Adam Pearson officiating. Burial will follow at Sartor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Taylor was born Nov. 17, 1937, in Quincy, to the late Woodie Taylor and Lillian West Taylor. He was a 1955 graduate of White Haven High School in Memphis, Tennessee and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was formerly employed as a supervisor with George Gulf in Aberdeen and was a member of West Chapel Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Taylor; and sister, Patricia Eichenser. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Tina Duneway of Athens; stepsons, Johnny Law of Sulligent, Alabama, Richard Law of Aberdeen and Bryan Law of Columbus. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
