COLUMBUS — Kam Hughes Johnson, 68, died Nov. 29, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Services will be at noon Friday at Glenn Chapel C.M.E. Church with the Rev. John Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon-5:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Century Hairston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Johnson was born May 26, 1950, in Columbus, to the late Charlie James Hughes and Ruby Watt Hughes. She is survived by her husband, Ned C. Johnson of Columbus; daughters, Yolanda Sherrod of Columbus and Shavonda Cater of Dallas, Texas; son, Curtis Johnson of Columbus; sisters, Jerrie Morris, Christine Hughes, Ruby Tucker, Cathy Mitchell and Lisa Hughes, all of Columbus, Ellen Porter and Angela Cotton, both of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers, Charlie Hughes Jr. of Stockton, California, Malone Hughes of Jackson, Floyzell Hughes of Columbus and Adam Charles Hughes of Dallas; and six grandchildren.
