PELL CITY, Ala. — Vivian McGuire Mathews, 97, died Oct. 30, 2018, at Village East Assisted Living Home in Pell City, Alabama. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery in West Point. Calvert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Mathews was born Aug. 29, 1921, in West Point, to the late William F. and Edna Leona Holley McGuire. She was a graduate of West Point High School and a member of Women’s Missionary Union. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, N.Q. Mathews. She is survived by her daughters, Holley Marrs of Pell City and Merilee Hutto Myers of Meadville; sister, Edna Gilliland of Macon; brother, Phil McGuire of Macon; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
