STARKVILLE — Glenn Edward Mullins, 86, died Oct. 31, 2018. A Celebration of Life service will be at 4 p.m. Monday at the chapel of First Baptist Church in Starkville. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Welch Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Mr. Mullins was born Dec. 17, 1931, in West Point, to the late L. L. and Margie Mullins. He was a graduate of Starkville High School and Mississippi State University. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a Army National Guard veteran. He formerly owned and operated Mullins & Sons in Starkville and served as president of Starkville’s Bank of Mississippi, Starkville Chamber of Commerce and as director of the Starkville Rotary Club. Glenn was a member of the advisory board of the College of Business and Industry’s Banking Excellence Program, the Golden Triangle’s Crime Stoppers Board, the First Federal Savings and Loan Board and the Oktibbeha County Hospital Board. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Sonny Mullins. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Jackson Mullins; daughter, Glenda Mullins Walker; and one granddaughter.
