PURVIS — James Sidney “Jimmy” Logan, 71, died Oct. 18, 2018, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home and Crematory, College Street location, with Milton Harris and Paul Glover officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home and Crematory, College Street location is in charge of arrangements. MR. Logan was born June 24, 1947, in Columbus, to the late Willis B. “Bernard” and Dona Hall Logan Sr. He formerly owned and operated Purvis Jewelry and Gifts and was a member of Hatiesburg Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Albert Logan, Richard Logan and Merlene Yarbrough. He is survived by his wife, Rae Seifert Logan of Purvis; children, Cathy Lynn Logan and Sharon Kaye Logan, both of Columbia, South Carolina and Davis H. “Petie” Wingo of Hattiesburg; siblings, Edna “Dean” Young, Elbert Logan, Wayne Logan and Willis Logan Jr., all of Steens, Bobbie Winters of Caledonia and Beverly Higdon of Dora, Alabama; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Beau Seifert, Larry Green, Colby Logan, Jonathan Logan, Alan Jones, Ronnie Jones, Steve Yarbrough and Frankie Young.
