MACON — Charlie Conner Sr., 66, died Aug. 13, 2018, at his residence. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Charity Mission Full Gospel Baptist Church in Crawford with the Rev. Willie J. Ivy officiating. Burial will follow at Providence M.B. Church in Macon. Visitation will be from noon-6 p.m. at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Conner was born June 13, 1952, in Noxubee County, to the late Sanders Conner and Otha Mae Conner. He was formerly employed as Director of Transportation with the City of Macon and was a member of Providence M.B. Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Sam Conner and Mims Conner. He is survived by his wife, Willette Conner; Children, Reggie Conner, Charlie Conner Jr., Shelia Conner, Emmit Conner, Naquietta Conner-Roby, Sanders Conner and Brittany Joiner, all of Macon; siblings, Teretha Conner, Billy conner and Frank Conner, all of Macon, Mary Chandler of Columbus, Lula Freeman of Cleveland, Ohio, Lois Giles of Elizabeth Town, Kentucky and John Conner of Brooksville; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Curtis Gandy, Earnest Williams, Bobby Williams, Walter Taylor, Johnny Dixon and Elbert Cole.
