WEST POINT — Shirley Jean Watson, 81, died June 17, 2018, at her residence. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Towery officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Calvert Funeral Home. Calvert Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Watson was born May 29, 1937, in Hamilton, to the late John and Tarnell Bobo Welch. She was a seamstress. She was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church in Hamilton and attended West End Baptist Church in West Point. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Ellis Watson; two sisters, Anne Reeves and Evelyn Pounders; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild. She is survived by her three daughters, Glenda Dedeaux, Debbie Ingram and Lisa Randle, all of West Point; one son, Gene Allen Sanders of West Point; one sister, Marie McLemore of Hamilton; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Shane Sanders, Dustin Randle, Jason Ingram, Kevin Ingram, Shawn Sanders, Chris Watson and Tommy Reed. Memorials may be made to Sally Kate Winters Memorial Children’s Home, 317 N.
