KENNEDY, Ala. — Joseph Lynn Turner, 56, died Feb. 9, 2018, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel wit Rev. Norman McCurdy and Rev. Ed Nabors officiating. Burial will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Dowdle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Turner was born in Kennedy, to the late James and Louenge Crowley Turner. He was a graduate of Kennedy High School and formerly employed as a carpenter. He was a member of Cody Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Luke Turner. He is survived by his daughter, Tara Sullivan; sisters, Abbey Gordon and Nancy Rickman; brothers, Leo Turner and Billy Turner; and one grandchild. Pallbearers will be Jim Mathis, Chris Gilliam, Scott Sullivan, Trey Gilliam, Clay Gilliam and Keith Bryant.
