MACON — Johnnie “Bruh” Davis, 65, died Aug. 10, 2017, at his residence. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Noxubee High School with the Rev. Sammie Lyson officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Rest in Brooksville. Visitation is from 1-6 p.m. today at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home and one hour prior to services. Mr. Davis was born Nov. 30, 1951, to Mary and McCune Davis. He was employed as a welder. He is survived by his fiance, Vola Mae Conner of Macon; sons, Gary Conner of Livingston, Alabama, Omar Conner of Ridgeland, Stephen Brooks of Brooksville and Javontae Williams of Columbus; daughters, Amesha Turner of Shuqualak, LaQuandra Conner of Macon and Anelle Williams of Columbus; brothers, Albert D. Davis, Bobby Charles Stewart and Curtis Williams, both of Columbus, Walker L. Davis, Robert Earl Davis and Albert Earl Davis, all of Joliet, Illinois, McCune Davis Jr. of New York, and Randy Harris of St. Louis; sisters, Annie Mae Clayborn, Betty Jean Brewer and Ruthie Mae Bush, all of Columbus, Barbara Ann Sanders and Shirley Jean Jones of Joliet and Linda Faye Grace of Dekalb; 20 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tez Hughes, Michael Johnson, Marco Roby, Kobi Spann, Travis Brewer, Alexander Brewer, Bobby Charles Stewart and Johnny Turner.
