CRAWFORD — Ida Lee White died April 20, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakland Missionary Baptist with Sammy White officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-6 p.m. today at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home in Columbus. Mrs. White was born April 13, 1925, to Mose and Nancy Hairston. She was a member of Oakland MB Church and the Heroines of Jericho. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Edorothy White Sanders and an infant son; brothers, James, Mose, John and Willie Lewis Hairston; sisters, Carrie Blair, Lillie Evans, Margaret Howard and Mattie Gray. She is survived by her husband, Frazier White; sons, Frankie of Mobile, Alabama, Sammy and Frazier III, both of Columbus, and Patrick of Atsugi, Japan; daughter, Cornell White of Lake Jackson, Texas; step-daughters, Gail Stallings and Sheila Stovall of Crawford; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
