COLUMBUS — John Roy Sullivan, 88, died April 15, 2017, at Glen Haven Nursing Home. Services are 3 p.m. Sunday at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel of Reform, Alabama, with the Rev. Shamus Drake officiating. Burial will follow at Gordo City Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday one hour prior and immediately following the service at the funeral home. Mr. Sullivan was born June 27, 1928, in Gordo, Alabama, to the late Samuel Walter Sullivan and Ethel Hall Sullivan. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Columbus and was formerly employed as a jet engine mechanic at the Columbus Air Force Base. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Junkin Sullivan; daughters, Linda Drake and Melody Cantrell; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
