COLUMBUS ó Lizzie Lee Morris, 83, died April 17, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Rest MB Church in Brooksville with the Rev. Sammie Lyons officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 3-7 p.m. today at St. Matthews MB Church in Columbus. Carterís Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Morris was born July 10, 1933, to the late Eugene Clayton and Edna Lee. She was previously employed as a cook with West Lowndes Elementary School. She was a member of Pilgrim Rest MB Church and graduate of R.E. Hunt High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Morris Sr.; and daughters, Elizabeth Morris and Caroline Morris. She is survived by her children, Shelia Morris Lang, Gary Morris, Arthur Morris and Janet Morris, all of Columbus; brother, Lonnie Clayton of St. Louis, Missouri; eight grandchidlren; and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Floyd Harris, Fred Harris, Derrick Harris, Sammie Morris, Dennis Harris, Derrick Lucious, Ben Coleman, Justin Calmes and Emmitt Calmes.
