COLUMBUS ó Juanita Harrell Smith, 85, died April 16, 2017. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shiloh Full Gospel MB Church with Steve James officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. today at Carterís Funeral Services of Columbus. Mrs. Smith was born June 22, 1931, to the late Lawrence Harrell and Nettie Cockrell. She was previously employed as a teacher with New Baptist Head Start. She was a member of United Christian MB Church and Order of Easterna Star Infinitive Sistars of Light #940. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Smith. She is survived by her children, Margaret Ann Stribling of Jackson, Tommie James Smith of Columbus and Henry Lewis Smith of Wesson; siblings, Ann Boykin of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Joe Harrell of Kankakee, Illinois, Linnie Barnette of Rialto, Calfornia, and Lucinda Harrell of Columbus; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Michael Chandler, Mario Smith, Charles Smith, Antonio Smith, Lennard Booker and Tommy Swopshire.
