FAYETTE, Ala. — Farrell Goode “F.G.” Bentley, 88, died Jan. 8, 2017, at his residence. Private services will be held with the Rev. Mark Johnston officiating. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Monday at his residence. Otts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bentley was born Jan. 5, 1929, to the late David H. and Pauline Goode Bentley. He owned and operated multiple construction companies and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Jefferson County, Alabama. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, LaVell Bentley; and step-father. He is survived by his wife, Addie Bently of Fayette; sons, Eric Bentley of Camp Vine, Kentucky, and Brett Bentley of Dawsonville, Georgia; daughters, Brenda Kennedy of Sarasota, Florida, and Cynthia Stanton of Daphne, Alabama; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
