WEST POINT — Nora Idell Ward, 91, died Jan. 7, 2017, at Sanctuary Hospice House. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Tutor officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. today at Robinson Funeral Home. Mrs. Ward was born July 20, 1925, to the late Nora Mae McDade and Walter W. Bennett. She was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church of West Point. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Ward; three brothers; eight sisters; and one grandson. She is survived by her son, Johnny Ward of Pheba; daughter, Donna Vaughn of Plantersville; sister, Sue McQuary of Sparta; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Carl Kelly, Chad Gaston, Ben Tate, Jonathan Ward, Lee Eaton and Tommy Peoples. Memorials may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House, 5159 Hwy. 6, Tupelo, MS 38801.
