After nearly 20 years with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, Chief Deputy Marc Miley has retired.
County officials, including Miley and Sheriff Mike Arledge, confirmed Miley’s retirement last week.
Miley has worked with LCSO since May 2002, according to county records. He has been chief deputy since Arledge was first elected in 2011.
Arledge told The Dispatch he would announce the new chief deputy on Monday.
