This picture of the lunar eclipse was shot at 10:51 p.m. Sunday at the Mississippi State University/MAFES Veteran’s Memorial Rose Garden in Starkville. During the event, the eclipsed moon turned red from sunlight scattering off Earth’s atmosphere, a phenomenon that could be seen throughout North and South America.
