The victim of a Thursday night shooting on South Montgomery Street is in stable condition, according to Starkville police.
Starkville Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident at The Block Townhomes. Officers responded at about 10:20 p.m. Thursday. According to SPD Public Information Officer Brandon Lovelady, a male victim was taken to OCH Regional Medical Center with gunshot wounds after the shooting.
Police have declined to identify the victim, who was immediately airlifted from OCH to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson and was reported to be in stable condition as of Saturday afternoon.
Lovelady said on Saturday that police are still working to identify suspects in the incident.
