A woman in Clay County was arrested for allegedly hitting someone with her vehicle after shoplifting from a grocery store.
Deputies with Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Camellia Hart, 27, of Brooksville, on Friday. According to a CCSO press release, Hart had attempted to buy several items from John’s Grocery on Highway 45 Alternate Friday and left the store before the transaction was approved. As she was leaving the parking lot, the store clerk tried to stop her and she allegedly hit the clerk with her car.
Hart was charged with shoplifting and aggravated assault.
The press release did not indicate how serious the victim’s injuries are.
Hart is currently in Clay County Jail on $5,307 bond.
