The staff of North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point has selected Teresa Virges McMillian, lead MRI technologist, as the most recent Employee of the Quarter. McMillian joined the NMMC staff in 1999 and initially worked at both the West Point and Tupelo hospitals. She became full-time in West Point in August 2001. She graduated from Houston High School and earned an associate degree with honors from Itawamba Community College in Fulton. An outstanding student, she received ICC’s Tupelo Clinical Award. She has been a registered CT technologist since 2006. Coworkers say McMillian is friendly, helpful and enjoys working as a team. Coworkers also cited her concern for safety of patients and staff in the MRI unit, as well as her willingness to help when needed. She has two daughters, Lanikki and Kaitlyn McMillian, and a special niece, Krizyia Virges, who she is raising. She is active in community sports and with New Prospect M.B. Church in Woodland, where she serves on the Usher Board.
