Lowndes County deputies have a suspect in custody after a brief chase that ended when the suspect crashed into a fence and a parked car.
Narcotics agents with Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office attempted a traffic stop on Waterworks Road Thursday afternoon, according to LCSO Chief Deputy Marc Miley. Rather than pull over for officers, the suspect fled in the vehicle.
After a short chase — Miley said it was less than a mile — the suspect hit a parked car and a fence on Burns Circle.
No one was injured in the chase, Miley said.
The suspect was arrested as part of a narcotics investigation, and authorities are not yet releasing his name, Miley said.
