North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point (NMMC-West Point) has announced the retirement of Carlie Godwin, a registered nurse anesthetist, after 30 years.
Godwin attended the University of South Alabama briefly before joining the U.S. Army. He served as a clinical specialist at Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg in North Carolina and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, and completed CRNA training at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dotha, Alabama.
He was employed with Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkvill prior to joining Ivy Memorial Hospital (now NMMC-West Point).
