Columbus police have identified a second suspect in an armed robbery outside a home in north Columbus in late June.
Columbus Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Anthony Prowell Jr., of Reform, Alabama. Prowell is accused of robbing a man as he was attempting to get into his home on 19th Street North early in the morning on June 24. He and another suspect, later identified as Jeffery Dymont Collie, of Aliceville, Alabama, allegedly pointed handguns at the man and demanded money. One of the suspects shot into the home.
The victim’s wife, who heard the noise outside, called police who arrested Collie after responding to the scene. Collie was charged with armed robbery, shooting into an occupied dwelling and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. He is in custody at Lowndes County Adult Detention Center on $350,000 bond.
Police are asking anyone with information on Prowell to call CPD at 662-244-3552 or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151.
