A few dozen people watch the Democratic Executive Committee's forum for municipal election candidates Monday evening at the municipal complex. The forum, which featured 10 candidates across the mayoral and council races, lasted about 90 minutes. Candidates spoke on a variety of topics, ranging from crime, honesty in government, board appointments and other issues facing the city. Democratic candidates will face off primary elections on May 2. The Dispatch will publish a Voter's Guide with information and stances from all municipal candidates on April 30.
