Three men are in jail for their suspected connection to a Clay County arson.
Clay County sheriff’s deputies arrested 54-year-old Michael Tribble, of Cedar Bluff, and 42-year-old Jason Williams, of Maben, Thursday on suspicion of arson, according to a press release. Clay County deputies on Friday arrested Daniel Easley, 38, of Oktibbeha County, also on suspicion of arson.
Sheriff Eddie Scott said the men are believed to be responsible for the May 6 arson of a home on Tribble Road in western Clay County.
Scott said Tribble owned the home but rented it out. He said no one was hurt in the fire, but the tenants lost all their belongings.
He said insurance may have been a factor in the arson. In the release, Scott said Tribble paid to have the home burned.
All three suspects’ bonds were set at $50,000.
