For Dispatch readers, there is a new game in town.
Beginning next Sunday, The Dispatch will replace its Cashwords game with Summer Break Bingo.
The game will run June 27 through Sept. 9, but the bingo cards needed to participate will be inserted into the Dispatch just once — in the June 26 edition. Cards will also be available at sponsor locations.
Each weekday after June 26, a new Bingo number will be published in The Dispatch. If the number matches a number of your card, cut it out and tape it on the corresponding place on your card.
There are multiple ways to win, with prizes ranging from $50 to $700.
Full game details are listed on the bingo card, so be sure to look for the card in next Sunday’s edition.
“Cashwords has both delighted and frustrated our readers for four years,” said Dispatch General Manager Peter Imes. “We think it’s time for a fresh contest.”
Cashwords winners have collected $6,000 in prize money since the game first appeared in The Dispatch. The largest single prize awarded came in December 2013 when Mississippi State student Willie Davis of Starkville collected winnings of $3,200.
