Columbus native and Atlanta resident Yolonda Troupe Smith will attend a book signing Saturday at the Columbus-Lowndes Public Library from noon to 3 p.m.
Troupe Smith will sign copies of her book, “The Holy Spirit, the Person, the Works: Don’t Live Without Him,” published by Entegrity Choice Publishing.
“It explains the beautiful story of how the Holy Spirit totally changed my life once I realized how to activate and depend on him,” she said. Troupe Smith coupled her songwriting and singing to create a music single entitled “Holy Spirit.” A recording is packaged with the book.
Troupe Smith was licensed as a minister in 2005 and ordained as an elder in 2010 at Greater Mount Zion Church in Columbus. She was also credentialed as an international elder in 2015 in the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship.
Her book covers her early childhood experiences to the present.
“Through the trials of life, I became intimately aware of who and the purpose of the Holy Spirit,” she said. “This powerful book chronicles how God allowed me to recognize and depend on the Holy Spirit to shape my life and future.”
The forward is written by Dr. Deborah B. Morton, pastor of the Greater St. Stephen Ministries of New Orleans.
Troupe Smith’s book is also available at amazon.com.
The library is located at 314 Seventh St. N.
