The Columbus Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a 19-year-old allegedly involved in a Columbus shooting Saturday.
Authorities say multiple arrest warrants have been issued for Tyquina “Ty” Kidd, of 104 Poplar St.
CPD, in a press release Sunday, did not explain Kidd’s alleged role in the incident, which sent a person to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.
CPD received a “shots fired” call at the Sprint Mart on Highway 69 South about 1:30 a.m. Saturday. Officers found several vehicles had been hit with gunfire, as well as the front door of the business, according to a CPD release.
About 20 minutes after the shooting occurred, a person identified by CPD only as a 23-year-old arrived at the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the ankle. CPD said the person was injured during the Spring Mart shooting.
Authorities ask anyone with information on Kidd’s location to call CPD at 662-244-3500 or Golden Triangle CrimeStoppers at 800-570-7151.
