OXFORD — Oxford police say a funeral director was killed in his home.
News outlets report that 52-year-old Kenneth Roberson’s family asked police to check on him about 1:35 a.m. Saturday, and responding officers found his body.
Maj. Jeff McCutcheon told The Oxford Eagle a firearm may have been involved.
He says he hopes to get autopsy results today from the state medical examiner.
Roberson owned a funeral home in Pontotoc, about 30 miles east-southeast of Oxford.
Police say they don’t have any suspects or know of a motive. They’re asking for anyone with information about the case to call them or Crime Stoppers.
