A child was transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle with minor injuries after being struck by a silver car this morning.
The car was driving near the intersection of 14th Avenue North and Military Road when the child ran into the street, according to Raymond Hackler, the public information officer with the Columbus Police Department. Hackler was at the scene this morning.
Police responded about 7:30 a.m.
An ambulance and a firetruck were also present.
