It appears Columbus is getting a Harbor Freight Tools.
The California-based tool and equipment retailer has recently posted several job ads online for a Columbus location. Those ads indicate the company is looking to hire a store manager, an assistant manager of operations and two assistant merchandising managers.
The ads — posted at indeed.com/jobs — list the address of the tool store as 1601 Hwy. 45 N., which is in between Goose Hollow Furniture and Miller’s OK Tire Store. Bokays Flowers and Gift, which is closed, most recently occupied the building at that location.
A message left Friday with Harbor Freight Tools’ corporate office was not immediately returned.
The business, which sells “more than 7,000 tools and accessories,” according to its corporate website, began in 1977. Since then, more than 600 locations have opened.
The closest locations to Columbus currently are in Tupelo and Meridian.
