Authorities this morning took into custody a Columbus man they say was involved in a Southside shooting that took place two months ago.
Victor Demarcus Shanklin, 23, is facing one felony charge of aggravated assault for his alleged involvement in a May shooting incident along Fifth Street South. He was taken into custody in the 2200 block of 26th St. N.
Shanklin is accused of shooting at the home at 1329 Fifth St. S. during the early morning hours of May 15.
No one was injured in the shooting.
In June, CPD authorities told The Dispatch the house at 1329 Fifth St. S. was the “epicenter” of continued violence on the Southside.
