Chris Bourland has been named director of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle’s ambulance service. Originally from Aberdeen, Bourland comes to Baptist Golden Triangle from the North Mississippi Medical Center ambulance service in West Point where he has been a supervisor since 2006. He completed his paramedic training at the Alabama Fire College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in 1997 and became a registered paramedic in 1998. Bourland also received an associates degree in applied science from Itawamba Community College in 2003. He has helped instruct paramedic refresher courses at East Mississippi Community College and was selected to be on the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award interview panel for North Mississippi Medical Center. Bourland is married and has three children.
