A Macon service station attendant shot Monday night during an armed robbery has died.
R.L. Calhoun, the coroner for Noxubee County, told the Macon Beacon newspaper that Kris Haywood died about 6 p.m. Wednesday night. The 28-year-old was in the intensive care unit at University Medical Center in Jackson.
Haywood was working at Local Express when the Jefferson Street business was robbed. He was shot multiple times, according to reports.
No suspect has been arrested.
Macon police and Mississippi Bureau of Investigation are investigating.
