Oktibbeha County law enforcement agents landed a major blow against drug trafficking Tuesday after a year-long investigation yielded 11 arrests and the seizure of drugs, firearms and cash.
Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department and Starkville Police Department, assisted by numerous other Golden Triangle and state officers, executed numerous search and arrest warrants Tuesday in and around Maben and Starkville.
During the course of those raids, agents seized marijuana, cocaine, firearms, three vehicles and $3,000 in cash.
Maben residents arrested in the sting included Clell Gladney, 33, of 54 Joiner St., on two counts of selling cocaine and two counts of selling marijuana; Lennie Head, 31, of 82 Roosevelt St., on one count of selling marijuana; Dominque Johnson, 26, of 144 Roosevelt St, on three counts of selling marijuana, three counts of selling a schedule-one narcotic and one count of selling cocaine; Raven Johnson, 21, of 144 Roosevelt St., on one count of selling marijuana; Jimmy Roby, 49, of 34 Louise St., on one count of selling cocaine; Daimon Taylor, 35, of 55 Roosevelt St., on five counts of selling cocaine and one count of selling marijuana; and Tommy Williams, 38, of 26 Roosevelt St., on three counts of selling marijuana.
Starkville arrestees included Brianna Darby, 20, of 990 Old Mayhew Road on one count of selling a controlled substance and one count of selling marijuana; Mihir Rajesh Patel, 20, of 50 Scenic Road, one count of selling marijuana; and Christopher Brooks Ramsey, 29, of 513 Scales St., one count of selling a controlled substance and one count of selling marijuana.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
OCSD and SPD were assisted by the Miss. Bureau of Narcotics, Miss. Highway Patrol, Alcohol Beverage Control agents, West Point Police Department, Maben Police Department and deputies from Clay and Webster counties.
