The GED Testing Service has announced a special offer to help adults prepare for and take the GED test next month.
Beginning Jan. 26 and extending through February, adults seeking an opportunity to receive their GED will be able to save some money; locally, those wishing to take advantage of the offer can do so at the Greater Columbus Learning Center. Emerson Family School and J.L. King Center in Starkville also offer GED testing.
Adults wishing to take the GED Ready practice test, which projects if someone will pass the test and what subjects they need to improve on the most, will be able to do so for $1. The practice test is typically $6.
First time test takers ready to try for their GED will receive a $10 discount when the schedule their test in February. The test is typically $120 total, $30 each for each of the four sections: mathematical reasoning, reasoning through language arts, science and social studies.
