A Columbus man has been arrested for a weekend shooting and more arrests are expected, according to officials with the Columbus Police Department.
Jarvis Alexander, 22, of 2203 Hughes Lane, was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling, according to CPD Captain Brent Swan.
Alexander allegedly shot into a home located near Fifth Street South and 15th Avenue South on Friday about 4:30 p.m., Swan said. A 24-year-old male was injured in the incident.
Alexander was apprehended Friday night near Martin Luther King Dr. and 23rd Avenue North. He was charged Monday and is the custody of the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center awaiting bond. Friday’s arrest was Alexander’s 10th since 2008.
