WEST POINT — A 19-year-old West Point man faces charges after police arrested him in connection with a string of burglaries dating back to earlier this year.
Police tell WTVA-TV in Tupelo that Johnnie Alexander Edwards was arrested Monday and faces 40 counts, including burglary, armed robbery and possession of a stolen firearm.
Investigators say the break-ins occurred mostly at night after residents had gone to bed.
Edwards was booked at the Clay County jail.
It was not immediately clear whether he has an attorney.
