JACKSON — Authorities have captured a Noxubee County Community Work Center inmate who had failed to return from a weekend pass.
Mississippi Department of Corrections spokeswoman Tara Booth says John Jason Lee was arrested about midnight Monday in the Mathiston area.
The 44-year-old Lee is serving a 12-year sentence for convictions of burglary of a vehicle and vehicle theft from Clay and Webster counties.
Booth says Lee will be transported to Central Mississippi Correctional Facility in Pearl. He now faces an additional 5 years if convicted of escape.
