ABERDEEN — Police say a toddler is recovering after being hit by a stray bullet in a shooting at an apartment complex in Aberdeen.
Three-year-old Trey McDonald Garth was shot in the shoulder Monday. Authorities say he is in good condition at Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson.
Police tell WCBI TV 34-year-old Anthony Strong fired six shots, but did not hit the person who was his intended target at the Southview Apartments Monday morning. Strong was caught around 6:30 p.m. in Memphis. He faces charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.
It was unclear whether Strong has an attorney.
